Capabilities / Medium Voltage
Discipline above 600 volts.
ZVRGE installs and terminates medium-voltage distribution across Texas — transformers, switchgear, feeders and the terminations in between — where the margin for error is zero and the workmanship shows it.

MV distribution
The medium-voltage backbone behind campuses, plants and critical sites: duct banks, manholes, cable systems and the distribution equipment they feed. ZVRGE builds MV infrastructure to be trusted for the long haul — because at this voltage class, rework is measured in outages, not punch lists.

02
Transformers & unit substations
Pad-mounted transformers and unit substations set, connected and grounded to specification — primary terminations, secondary connections and the protection between them, coordinated with equipment delivery so rigging happens once.
03
MV switchgear
Metal-clad and metal-enclosed switchgear installed, bussed and wired — including control and relaying wiring landed to the point lists — with the clearances, anchoring and labeling the gear will need across a service life measured in decades.
04
Feeders & terminations
An MV cable system is only as good as its terminations — which is why ZVRGE treats termination work as its own discipline, not a task at the end of a pull.
- Terminations and splices performed by trained, qualified MV cable technicians
- Stress control, shielding and torque per the termination specification — every time
- Cable testing before energization, with recorded results
- Each termination traceable to who made it and when
05
Utility coordination
New services, upgrades and point-of-delivery changes run on the utility's clock. ZVRGE manages applications, metering requirements and outage scheduling with the utility from the start, because those lead times set the project schedule more often than construction does.
06
Testing & energization
Insulation and cable testing, phasing verification and a written energization sequence — executed with independent testing support where the specification calls for it. Medium voltage gets energized on evidence, not confidence.
FAQ
Common questions
Trained, qualified MV cable technicians — termination work is never handed to whoever is available. Stress control and shielding details decide whether an MV system lives a quiet life or fails young, so the discipline is non-negotiable.
